"I am Nicole Story, licensed in both Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling, I have over 15 years of experience with couples, professionals, therapists, parents and children.  I am the past Clinical Director of an intensive adolescent inpatient program and directed 7 concurrent adolescent outpatient programs.

With masters and post masters degrees (equivalent to a Doctorate of Psychology/Psy.D) from the University of Florida, I also provide clinical supervision and training for therapists and clinical supervisors in numerous local agencies including: the Youth Crisis Center; Camelot Community Care; Family Foundations; Daniel Kids; Gateway; River Region; Breakthroughs; the United States Navy; the VA; and several private practitioners.
Trained in both intrapsychic and inter-relational models of therapy, I provide a supportive, non-discrimination and non-judgmental environment in which clients and therapists in supervision can examine specific areas of concern and learn to grow accordingly while breaking unhelpful, rigid patterns of inter-relational and maladaptive behavior. At Oceanside Family Therapy, our goal is to support and assist individuals, not to label or pathologize symptoms.
An expert in the field, having served on the board of the Florida Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (FAMFT) and as President of the NEFAMFT, we stay up to date with the latest research in neuroscience, biopsychological and attachment theories that focus on evidence based measures to enhance coping strategies that improve emotional regulation and general functioning while reducing the need for psychotropic medication.

With 20 years of specific training, education and experience in child and adult psychotherapy; clinical assessment; administering, scoring, and interpreting psychometric evaluations; and court testimony.

Serving a limited number of clients ensures that you will get the individualized, personal attention that you deserve.  The beach cottage office offers a casual, relaxed and personal environment designed for your ease, convenience and confidentiality."
